A sales funnel is a model representing the customer journey from first brand contact to purchase and beyond to loyalty. The classic funnel consists of stages: awareness, interest, decision, and action. In e-commerce, the funnel includes ads (cold traffic), landing page or pre-sell, product page, cart, checkout, and post-purchase upsell. Optimizing each funnel stage dramatically increases overall profitability.
