shopify-admin-skills:product-lifecycle-manager store=your-store.myshopify.com### name
Product Lifecycle Manager — Bulk DRAFT / ACTIVE / ARCHIVED Status Transitions
### oneLiner
Activates, hides, or archives hundreds of products at once based on a tag, vendor, or filter — instead of clicking through each product individually.
### whenToUse
- Before a seasonal launch, to publish all products tagged `launch:2026-05` in a single command.
- At end of season, to pull a collection off all sales channels without deleting the products.
- When staging a pre-launch catalog — create products as DRAFT and activate them on the target date.
### howToRun
```
Run skill: shopify-admin-product-lifecycle-manager
Store: yourstore.myshopify.com
filter: tag:launch:2026-05
target_status: ACTIVE
dry_run: true
```
### whatYouGet
A CSV file `lifecycle_update_YYYY-MM-DD.csv` with columns: `product_id`, `title`, `previous_status`, `new_status`, `vendor`, `tags`. The skill skips products already at the target status. ARCHIVED status removes products from all sales channels immediately — review the list via `dry_run: true` before committing an archival run at scale.
### polishContext
### safetyNote
This skill executes a `productUpdate` mutation on every matched product. ARCHIVED status removes the product from all sales channels immediately and cannot be easily reversed in bulk. Default is `dry_run: true` — review the product list before committing.
