### name Inventory Transfer Between Locations — Move Stock Before a Campaign ### oneLiner Moves a specified quantity from one location to another using paired adjustments — without manually editing inventory levels in the Shopify admin. ### whenToUse - Before a campaign targeting a specific region, to concentrate stock at the closest fulfillment location. - When one warehouse has excess and another is running thin against current sales velocity. - After a multi-location audit identifies that stock is distributed unevenly across locations. ### howToRun ``` Run skill: shopify-admin-inventory-transfer-between-locations Store: yourstore.myshopify.com source_location_id: gid://shopify/Location/111 destination_location_id: gid://shopify/Location/222 transfers: - sku: "PROD-001" quantity: 50 - sku: "PROD-002" quantity: 20 dry_run: true ``` ### whatYouGet A CSV file `inventory_transfer_YYYY-MM-DD.csv` with columns: `sku`, `product_title`, `source_location`, `destination_location`, `quantity_transferred`, `source_qty_before`, `source_qty_after`, `destination_qty_before`, `destination_qty_after`. The skill warns when the requested transfer quantity exceeds available stock at the source. Note: this creates direct inventory adjustments, not a formal transfer order record in Shopify. ### polishContext ### safetyNote This skill executes paired `inventoryAdjustQuantities` mutations (decrement source, increment destination). A negative result at the source is possible if `quantity` exceeds available stock — Shopify does not block this automatically. Run with `dry_run: true` to verify available quantities at the source before committing.
