Tax Liability Summary — By Jurisdiction and Rate
### oneLiner
Aggregates tax collected across all paid orders for a period, broken down by jurisdiction and rate — ready to hand to your accountant.
### whenToUse
- Quarterly before your accounting close — hard numbers without manual admin clicking.
- When selling to multiple EU countries and you need to know where you've crossed OSS thresholds.
- After a store migration, to verify Shopify Tax is classifying orders correctly.
### howToRun
```
Run skill: shopify-admin-tax-liability-summary
Store: yourstore.myshopify.com
days_back: 90
group_by: jurisdiction
exclude_refunded: true
```
### whatYouGet
CSV file `tax_liability_YYYY-MM-DD.csv` with columns: `jurisdiction`, `country_code`, `province_code`, `tax_rate`, `order_count`, `total_tax_collected`, `currency`. The `jurisdiction` field reflects Shopify Tax's own labels — verify the format matches your filing system. Fully refunded orders are excluded by default so the figure represents real collected liability, not gross collected.
### polishContext
Poland's standard VAT rate is 23%. If your store serves customers in other EU countries and you've crossed the €10,000/year threshold, this report helps assess whether you need to file through the OSS (One Stop Shop) procedure. Set `days_back: 365` and `group_by: jurisdiction` to see a full per-country tax breakdown before registering for OSS or consulting a tax advisor.
