Refund and Reorder — Process Refund With Optional Replacement Order
### oneLiner
Processes a full or partial refund and optionally creates a replacement draft order for the customer — in a single workflow.
### whenToUse
- When a customer is waiting for their money back after a returned or defective item has been received.
- When you need to refund specific line items without cancelling the entire order.
- When a customer wants a replacement — run with `create_replacement: true` to generate a draft order with the same products.
### howToRun
```
Run skill: shopify-admin-refund-and-reorder
Store: yourstore.myshopify.com
dry_run: true
order_id: "gid://shopify/Order/12345"
reason: "customer"
notify_customer: true
create_replacement: false
```
### whatYouGet
The refund ID, amount refunded with currency, replacement draft order name (if `create_replacement: true`), and the invoice URL for the customer. No CSV — output appears directly in the conversation window. The replacement draft order is not automatically invoiced or fulfilled — share the invoice URL with the customer for payment.
### polishContext
Polish consumer law (Art. 27 of the Consumer Rights Act) requires refunds to be returned within 14 days of receiving the goods back. The `refundCreate` mutation executes immediately — confirm the item is back in stock before committing. For partial refunds, always specify `refund_line_items` explicitly to avoid accidentally refunding the full order.
### safetyNote
Always run with `dry_run: true` first — verify `refundableQuantity` per line item from step 1 before committing. The `refundCreate` mutation is irreversible — a processed refund cannot be undone. The `draftOrderCreate` mutation creates a new draft order that requires separate customer payment.
